Where am I located?
I live on a farm about an hour out of Edmonton, Alberta in Canada — or “out in the boonies” as I call it, because it’s half an hour to the nearest grocery store. Let’s say I’ve gotten really good at substituting ingredients in recipes! I have always been a country girl, having the privilege of being surrounded by the colors and scents of nature, breathing in the refreshing, healthy country air and experiencing the miraculous changing of the four seasons. The peacefulness of country living and being able to grow my own vegetables, strawberries, and raspberries has been a contributor to my wellness over many years. But, I wasn’t always healthy...
What brought me to my passion of alternative health care?
Growing up, I was burdened with environmental allergies and bronchitis. I was especially allergic to grain dust, other kinds of dust, and smoke. Believe me, it wasn’t fun. Back then, smoking was allowed everywhere, and I was so sensitive I couldn’t even go near a campfire. A sore throat or cold is often not a big deal for most people, but for me these triggers meant that I would get bronchitis. I’m a March/Aries girl so with cold, early spring winds I inevitably spent my birthday in bed sick. My parents hauled me to doctors and specialists, paid for so many antibiotics and over-the-counter medications. In the end, I was told by the professionals that the only thing that would help was for me to live in a bubble. How's that for a diagnosis?
In addition to the allergic tendencies, I also suffered with stomach issues to the point I could not drink fluids on an empty stomach. Even as a young adult, having just one teaspoon of caffeinated tea or coffee would lead me to spending the rest of my day in the washroom.
But now fast forward ...
I have been healthy for many years. My immune system withstands others’ illnesses. My stomach feels great, and I can eat or drink anything without getting an upset stomach or heartburn. What changed? What happened between the sickly me and the healthy me? What made the difference? (I didn’t move into a bubble!)
I researched medications and learned how they can be toxic to the liver and kidneys. I also researched herbs such as Echinacea and Elderberry, supplements, and vitamins such as Vitamin C and D, which saved me from many bouts of bronchitis. I took courses, worked at a health food store, and even owned a store for a while, sharing my knowledge and experience with customers. In short, for many years holistic health care has been my passion. Crucially, I learned about the link between our mindset and our health. And through my website, I share the high-vibration products and modalities that I believe can help you improve your wellbeing. How has this worked for me?
In 1985, I used the power of positive thinking and the Law of Attraction to manifest a $100k lottery win! When I bought my ticket, I believed without a shadow of a doubt that I was going to win and told anyone who would listen that I was going to win. My faith was so strong, much to the amazement of my friends and family, that I made it happen.
